Dan Smith - Lead singer of Bastille
I decided to practice digital painting by recreating a picture of Dan Smith the lead singer from Bastille , I found this helpful as the image I used for reference featured both smooth and harsh lighting this challenged me to use both hard lines and gradients within the colouring and shading of the face. This also helped me practice using realistic colours within skin tones.

"Eyes like knives"
This was a quick warm-up painting to practice my use of overlaying colours, I decided to use a profile picture as a reference t also practice drawing faces in a profile perspective instead of from a face/head on perspective.

Creepy Gaming Episode 100 celebratory illustration featuring Mullet Mike ,
I created this digital painting to celebrate the 100th episode of the Youtube series "Creepy gaming" that investigates and explains creepy Easter eggs and features within video games. I picked some of the episodes that stood out to me and created and animated gif of these episodes appearing on a TV screen held by the presenter of this series.

"This is a Roadtrip"
I created this digital painting after listening to the horror podcast "Alice isn't dead" I decided to use some of the imagery within it to create this painting. Part of which is the thistles, the main villians of this podcast are referred to as "Thistle men" as the only clear feature of them is their shirt logos which simply say "thistle"

"You were warned" Digital painting of the character Tamara from the film "The Devil's Carnival"
I created this digital painting after watching the theatrical horror film "The devil's carnival" and took inspiration from the famous painting "Ophelia" by John Everett Millias but put my own macabre twist upon it based on the grim end of the character within the film.

"Acid Rain" this was a digital painting I created recreating a screenshot from the music video for the song "Acid Rain" by the electronica band Lorn. I enjoyed trying to recreate a realistic setting along with a realistic background and making the figure present seem like they are within the setting (instead of standing away from it).
I enjoy creating digital paintings in the horror genre as you can paint quite dark or morbid themes in reasonably bright settings.
